The Irresistible Urge to Fall For Your Enemy

In a world of rival orders, Osric Mordaunt, an assassin of the Fyren Order, falls ill and requires the skills of a specific healer who belongs to the enemy Haelan Order. That healer, Aurienne Fairhrim, is overwhelmed treating children stricken by an outbreak of a long-forgotten Pox, while her order struggles for funds to launch an immunisation programme. When Osric offers a bribe to secure her help, Aurienne reluctantly agrees. As the two work together to address both his illness and the reappearance of the Pox, they contend with a mutual attraction they are reluctant to acknowledge.
