The Winged Game

In a fantasy world where the brutal, rugby-like sport of Carriwitchet is played atop winged beasts, once-celebrated player Taissa Cho was expelled from the game in disgrace after her rival Kion Locke ended her career. Two years later, Taissa is offered a chance at redemption—but the offer comes from Kion himself, and it includes a contract clause requiring the two to stage a fake relationship for the sake of the team's public image. As a mysterious illness spreads among the league's winged creatures, threatening both the animals and the sport, the two rivals are drawn into investigating the sickness together, and their pretend relationship begins to shift into something more.
