The Washwoman at the River's End

An immortal woman named Bea is cursed to eternally wash the grave clothes of the dying at the River's End, searching the garments for pieces of a spell that could break her curse. When Brennen, a man sworn to kill her in vengeance for a lost love, is assigned as her guard, he finds she differs from her monstrous legend. As women across the kingdom vanish and deaths Bea can foresee follow, the two form an uneasy alliance that shifts from hatred toward reluctant trust and something more, while fate closes in around them.
