Alessandra, tired of being overlooked, sets out to gain power through a bold scheme: seduce and marry the newly crowned Shadow King, then kill him and seize his kingdom for herself. The Shadow King is rumored to command the shadows around him. As multiple attempts are made on the king's life, Alessandra finds herself working to keep him alive long enough to become his queen, all while trying not to lose her heart to him.
