The Road of Bones

In a Viking-inspired world, a young woman named Silla becomes the target of the Queen of Íseldur, who dispatches warriors to bring her to Sunnavík. After her father is killed, his final words send her on a dangerous journey along the Road of Bones—a thousand-mile route beset by warbands, dark creatures, and an unknown murderer—toward the town of Kopa, where a shield-house awaits her. To survive, she stows away in a supply wagon belonging to the Bloodaxe Crew and must earn the trust of its brooding leader while contending with his handsome second-in-command and a relentless assassin on her trail.
