In the final installment of The Nightshade Crown series, Lore is banished to a prison colony on the Burnt Isles after failing to free King Bastian from a corrupting god and seeing her allies scattered across the continent. Drawing on skills learned surviving the streets, she works with returning allies to gather the broken pieces of the Fount—the source of the god's power—in an effort to end the gods' hold on the land, even as her own growing magic tests her.
