The Jasad Heir

Set in an Egyptian-inspired fantasy world, this series opener follows Sylvia, the hidden heir of the fallen kingdom of Jasad, whose magic was outlawed and royal family killed a decade earlier. Living in disguise to avoid the armies of Nizahl that hunt her people, she inadvertently reveals her magic when the Nizahl Heir, Arin, arrives tracking Jasadi rebels. To survive, she strikes a bargain to help him hunt the rebels while concealing her true identity. As their antagonism gradually complicates, Sylvia must reckon with the kingdom she left behind and the future she wants.
