The fourth entry in The Bridge Kingdom series follows Keris, newly crowned king of Maridrina, and Zarrah, whose forbidden relationship has been exposed. When Zarrah is imprisoned by the Empress and held on Devil's Island, Keris seeks an alliance with a kingdom he once nearly destroyed in order to help her. Zarrah, meanwhile, must weigh proving her loyalty against the risk of being branded a traitor, and considers a third path involving rebellion and a destiny she must fight to claim. The two must attempt to find their way back to each other against long odds.
