The Contortionist
Spice 4 of 5, four tropes and four content warnings.
Cora Glass expects nothing more than a night of spectacle when she walks into Harrow Faire with her best friend. Instead the faire takes her. The carnival is alive in a way no visitor understands, and those it claims become part of the show. Trapped among its performers, Cora draws the attention of Simon, the Puppeteer, whose strings reach further than anyone's and whose interest in her is anything but safe. As she fights to hold on to herself, she learns that the reclusive Mr. Harrow rules the faire, and that the war between him and the Puppeteer may decide what becomes of her. A dark, macabre carnival romance.
