The Aspect of Essence

In a world where elves arrived on mortal shores and subjugated humans, the elven race faces a fertility crisis that has driven them to interbreed with humans. Jassyn, an elf who has spent his life researching the crisis while enduring mistreatment from his handlers, is assigned to tutor a half-breed princess in a human realm—only to uncover the true reason for his placement. Serenna, his pupil, believes she has earned a coveted place among the elven courts, but instead finds herself conscripted to a military academy for half-breeds when a monstrous threat emerges. There she must learn to wield a power called Essence, long suppressed by the elves, under the demanding eye of a shadow-wielding commander, Prince Vesryn. As war looms, both Jassyn and Serenna navigate danger, hidden motives, and their own emerging abilities.
