Tempest
Spice 2 of 5, four tropes and two content warnings.
Cat Rose has lived two lives: once as Lady Catrine Rose of the Meridian Empire, bound to a lord she despised, and now as the Widow Rose, who runs a pirate tavern in the Lyrian Sea and seeks to control her own destiny. As the Meridian Empire moves its navy against the pirate republic and its colonies, one captain continues to evade capture: the renowned Valerian Kane, who has a strange bond with the sea and may be able to rally the remaining pirates. The Empire forces Cat to make a brutal choice between delivering Valerian and her own survival, setting a conflict in motion across the Lyrian.
