Soulless

Set in an alternate Victorian London populated by vampires, werewolves, and dirigibles, this comedy of manners follows Alexia Tarabotti, a spinster born without a soul and possessed of the ability to negate supernatural powers by touch. After a vampire breaches social etiquette by attacking her, and the encounter ends in the creature's death, Alexia draws the attention of the authorities. The gruff werewolf Lord Maccon is dispatched by Queen Victoria to investigate a series of unusual events involving London's supernatural high society, and Alexia becomes entangled in the mystery.
