In this tenth entry in the Dark Olympus series, a modern retelling reimagines the figures of Hermes, Atalanta, and Circe within a reinvented Olympus ruled by gods who hold their titles by position rather than birth. Years after Circe was forced into a marriage with Zeus and presumed dead, Hermes, who once loved her, has spent that time nursing a desire to tear Olympus down. As a new generation now governs the city, Hermes begins to wonder whether Olympus is worth saving, aided by her growing bond with Atalanta. But Circe survives, returning with her own vision of vengeance, and a complicated relationship forms among the three women. The story weaves together revenge, political upheaval, and conflicting loyalties.
