Ruin and Rising

In the third installment of the Shadow and Bone trilogy, the Darkling controls Ravka from his throne while a weakened Alina, a Sun Summoner, must rely on the protection of the Apparat and the zealots who revere her as a Saint. Hiding in a network of underground tunnels, she pursues the hunt for the firebird, the last of Morozova's amplifiers, alongside the tracker Mal. Along the way she forges new alliances, sets aside old rivalries, and uncovers secrets about the Darkling and her own power that reshape her understanding of what she must sacrifice to save her nation.
