In the Veins of the Drowning

Imogen Nel is a Siren living in hiding in a kingdom that regards her kind as monstrous and hunts them. By staying away from the sea, she keeps her bloodlust and her hidden wings suppressed. When a visiting king recognizes what she is, he asks for her help against a greater threat facing both their kingdoms, and the two form a blood bond that protects them. Together they flee across dangerous, undead-infested waters, where their sense of duty to their people and their growing feelings for each other come into conflict, as Imogen questions whether her inherited powers are enough to defeat what pursues her.
