Genevieve Grimm, feeling adrift after her sister took over as head of their family, accepts an invitation from a mysterious friend of her mother's to visit a grand palace in Italy. Instead of the luxury and magic she anticipated, she finds herself met with hostility by the owner's rude son, Rowin Silver, who demands she leave.
