Blood Orange

A modern-day Dracula retelling in which Dahlia Abernathy, a witch trained by the Witch's Guild to kill vampires after her parents were murdered, is sent undercover to a prestigious music academy in Venice. Her mission is to assassinate Professor Valtu Aminoff, the vampire said to have inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula. Concealed by a glamor spell, Dahlia does not realize she is the reincarnation of a woman Valtu loved and lost, and he does not recognize her. The novel follows their entanglement as an assassin's assignment collides with a love that may span lifetimes.
