Among the Burning Flowers

A prequel novella set in the world of The Roots of Chaos, following events that precede The Priory of the Orange Tree. In the land of Yscalin, Marosa Vetalda lives as a prisoner under her father, King Sigoso, while her betrothed, Aubrecht Lievelyn, governs neighboring Mentendon. As the great wyrm Fýredel stirs and long-dormant dragons begin to wake, Yscalin faces the threat of being the first realm to fall. Elsewhere, Estina Melaugo hunts the Draconic beasts. The illustrated volume charts the gripping and tragic lead-up to the larger epic.
