In the second book of The Bargainer series, siren Callypso Lillis is reunited with her soulmate Desmond Flynn, the King of Night, but continues to bear the marks of her captivity under a mad king. As evidence suggests a being responsible for the disappearance of fae warriors remains at large, Callie and Des travel to the Kingdom of Flora for a Solstice celebration to further their investigation. There, soldiers begin to vanish and suspicion falls upon Des, forcing Callie to navigate the dangerous games of the fae courts.
