A Crown of Star & Ash

A healer named Deya serves the kingdom of Praiton until she uncovers a secret that threatens the regime and is imprisoned and tortured, which awakens an uncontrollable power within her. Cast out of the only home she has known, she joins a band of rebels united by their wish to see Praiton fall. Among them is Caelum, a male shaped by years in prison who harbors his own secret and resents everyone tied to Praiton, including Deya. The story follows Deya as she recovers from her ordeal and weighs where her loyalties truly lie amid a wider war.
