Why this order?
Each order says what is in it and what is left out.
Read Throne of Glass in publication order to experience the series the way it unfolded for its first readers. Starting with Throne of Glass introduces Celaena and the castle competition before the prequel novellas in The Assassin's Blade fill in her past, those stories land harder once you know what's coming, and reading them first gives away some of the first book's surprises. Kingdom of Ash closes the series and should be read last.
